Nikolay Barantsev
I'm an animation artist from moscow, russia, Currently living in Lima, Peru.
My main competence is 2D and 3d animation and character animation, but a lot of my work includes modelling, texturing, rigging, particle simulations, compositing, FX and sound design. Since 2018 I’ve been making motion design and animation on my own and as a part of the team in Crazy Panda Games. Some OF the projects are here ALONG WITH THE FREELANCE AND personal works.
my main source of ideas is music. The visual style i'm developing has roots in 90-s cartoon network, MTV, action comics, street-art, movies and nintendo video games. I used to PLAY GUITAR in a band for several years while i was in university and then produced music at home. I'm comfortable working in any style, but THE ROUGH GRUNGE GLITCHY LOOK FEELS MOST NATURAL.
I live with my wife and two kids. most of my free time I spend with them or riding my bike around Lima and photographing stuff on my phone. for that I made a separate account on instagram called amiseeing_this. it already has dozens of subscribers.
I'm a Phd in Physics of condenced matter. I Finished Moscow engineering physic institute. from 2006 to 2010 I've been working in thin film material research for nanoelectronics.
